At the preschool today, the kids were obsessed with worms. One kid told me, "Miss Julie, we were just playing with worms. They're juicy."
Juicy?
I asked two of the worm-players if they liked worms and they nodded their heads immediately. I asked why. Student one responded, "because they're cute." Student two responded, "because they're real yummy."
Cute, yummy, and juicy. Nice. How do you figure out worms are yummy??
Another student woke up from naptime and told his teacher that his worm had died. She looked questioningly at him and asked, "Where is your worm?" To which he replied, "in my pocket."

So gross, but so true to life. Brad says that when he was young, he used to save up the worms from rainy days and put them in the pockets of his raincoat. When his mother went to clean his coat, there would be a bunch of dead worms in the pockets. Ah, kids.
