CO and I share a car. Last year, I dropped him off at school and picked him up. This year, I get spoiled and CO drops me off at work every morning and picks me up in the evenings on his way to and from school. I work 8-5, but sometimes it takes me a little bit of time to wrap up whatever project I'm working on, and actually head downstairs to where he picks me up. Here's today's dialogue about what time he was going to pick me up (done via email).
CO: What time should I pick you up today?
me: Just after 5, is that ok?
CO: Yes, see you then.
...
CO: Running 12 minutes late.
Who says that? TWELVE minutes late? Not ten, not fifteen. Twelve.
That's my husband.

DH chooses a name!
Ok, so dh (dear/dumb husband, designated hitter, whatever you call him) has a new name, thanks to you!. He chose CO. And, as you cleverly pointed out - it can stand for Captain Obvious or Commanding Officer (which my delightful husband has been quite often).
Thanks Amy and dutchgirl - I'll have CO help me find a prize!
I'll just have to remember to use it now :)

I am loved!
Not that I thought I wasn't... but I feel extra-special today!
Yesterday, I got a package in the mail. I wasn't expecting anything, but it had my name on it. I opened it up, and it was a cd - Maori Songs. DH bought it for me! I love surprises, but DH is more the strategic planning type (aka boring). But, he knows that when we're over in OZ, I really want to figure out how to get over to New Zealand and learn more about the Maori. (Yes, I have become obsessed with all things Polynesian lately). DH had found the Commandant's reading list, and this was a recommended cd. I was so excited! Good job dh!!
Then, when I got home from work tonight I checked the mail again (another obsessive habit of mine - I just love getting the mail!) and I had a package addressed to Tia Julie. My nieces call me Tia (which I also love). The package was from Hilo. Now, I'd be a little upset if my nieces went to Hilo without me, but I opened the package and it was a cute wallet I saw on etsy! I had just looked at some of my favorites on etsy yesterday and was sad to have seen that someone bought it. Little did I know it was my sister!! Also included in the package were some ono honey roasted macadamia nuts and cute little stickers! Woohoo! Could life be any better?
Looks like they know what my love language is! Thank you guys!!

"I've got some good news...
... and some bad news," said dh as he surprised me at home on my lunch hour today.
"The good news is that I have a chance to invest in one of our friends.
The bad news is that I'm doing it over golf. In 20 minutes."
Yeah sure, honey. Way to invest in people here. While I go back to work with the disobedient children for a yucky salary. You have a good afternoon basking in the sun and playing games. I'll deal with poop and "he said he's not my friend, Miss Julie. Make him be my friend."
