Long time, no see

Well, we're alive. CO has passed all of his exams, written all of his papers, and graduated with an MBA. (I'll try to post pictures of graduation soon - but most of you have seen them on facebook). The movers have come and gone, and we are homeless yet again for a few days. We bid goodbye to our friends and home in Nashville, and headed up north to see my family.

We arrived in Michigan in time to see my cousin's wedding - it was beautiful and it's good to be able to catch up with family. Plus, the wedding was at Windmill Island (it has a big Windmill) so it was really pretty with all of the blooming tulips and Dutch stuff around. They had windmill cookies (speculaas) for favors, so my family has been enjoying them for the past few days- even CO who is not usually too keen on sweets.

In other big news, I donated 10 inches of my hair to locks of love when I got it cut! I had been itching for a change, and I thought I might as well do it. I'll post pictures soon. CO could barely recognize me when he came to pick me up from the hair salon.

CO and I start our drive out East tomorrow, so we're relaxing today and catching up on laundry. We also are trying to repack our car and make sure all of our random things fit...

We'll take two days to drive, and once arriving, will have three days or so to look for houses before CO reports to work. (Hello - he had to report 2 weeks after he graduated?) But, I think we'll get a few weeks of leave this summer so he'll be able to go on the surf trip I promised him for his graduation present.

It's a little chaotic, but all good :) I'll try to keep you updated when I can.

New Favorite Blog!

I have a new favorite blog to read and drool over - Annie's Eats!

She's about to become a doctor and still has time to make fabulous, beautiful food. Her recipes range from easy (Caprese Tarts) to a little more complicated, fancy cakes. Everything that I've tried from her blog has been delicious. Check it out!

Poll: Is this dress graduation-appropriate?

CO will graduate soon with an MBA (if he finishes this paper tonight and does well on his exams). Do you think this dress is appropriate for a business school graduation??

The other night we went to a game!

None of the pictures are very good - my good camera's battery is dead. My small, portable camera's batteries died after taking just a few pictures, so you're left with my camera phone pictures. Nonetheless, it was a really fun time. We watched the US beat Trinidad/Tobago 3-0. The goals were all scored by one guy (all 3 assisted by Landon Donovan I think) and they were really pretty.

It was also cool because I know a soccer-crazy family here whose 4-year old son has cancer. Make-a-wish hooked them up with all kinds of things for this game. They got to meet all of the players and Landon Donovan gave the son his cleats!! They were so excited. I really like that the team took the time to really hang out with the family. It's pretty neat!
